Abstract
Мета статті. На основі аналізу архівних джерел та офіційних документів досліджується діяльність Всеукраїнського агрономічного товариства (ВАТ) упродовж 1920 – 1926 років, метою якого було відродження сільського господарства в часи його занепаду. Згодом із впровадженням курсу на суцільну колективізацію в українському селі та зміною пріоритетів в аграрному секторі товариство стало об’єктом ідеологічного, політичного та кримінального переслідування. Методологія дослідження – принципи науковості, історизму, об’єктивності, методи: історико-порівняльний, проблемно-хронологічний, структурно-системний. Наукова новизна. Аналізується процес створення та діяльність Всеукраїнського агрономічного товариства в Україні у першій половині 1920-х років. Досліджується основні напрямки конструктивної роботи товариства щодо агрономії, селекції, ветеринарії, зоології з метою відродження рослинництва та тваринництва. Проаналізовано формування місцевих органів товариства в українських губерніях, їх матеріальне забезпечення, впровадження сільськогосподарської освіти та політику кредитування сільських господарств. Висвітлюється високий рівень наукової кваліфікації очільників ВАТ і їх активну громадянську позицію. Стверджується, що в середині 1920-х років появляються елементи політизації в роботі товариства, а з впровадженням політики суцільної колективізації в українському селі, методологічні принципи засновників ВАТ спрямовані на зміцнення матеріально-технічної бази сільських господарств, радянська влада визнала «шкідливими». Висновки. Створення Всеукраїнського агрономічного товариства відбулося на першому Всеукраїнському агрономічному з’їзді у листопаді 1921 року. Завданням товариства було консолідувати агрономічні сили України для відновлення та розвитку сільського господарства, тобто продуктивних сил селянських господарств. ВАТ намагалося долучити широке коло фахівців сільського господарства до вироблення та здійснення агрономічної політики. Але методологічні принципи засновників ВАТ стали несумісними з політикою суцільної колективізації яка розпочалася в українському селі в 1929 році. Товариство, яке орієнтувалося на зміцнення селянських господарств, стало об’єктом ідеологічного, політичного і кримінального переслідування. У лютому-березні 1930 року колишніх «ватівців» було звинувачено у підриві економічної могутності республіки, намаганні реставрувати капіталістичний лад і репресовано органами ГПУ УСРР.
The purpose of the article. Based on the analysis of archival sources and official documents, the activity of the All-Ukrainian Agronomic Society (OJSC) during 1920-1926 is considered, the aim of which was to revive agriculture in difficult times of its decline, but society became the object of ideological, political and criminal persecution. Research methodology – principles of scientificity, historicism, objectivity, methods: historical-comparative, problem-chronological, structural-systemic. Scientific novelty. The process of creation and activity of the All-Ukrainian Agronomic Society in Ukraine in the 1920s is analyzed. The main directions of the society's constructive work regarding agronomy, veterinary medicine, breeding, and zoology with the aim of revitalizing plant and animal husbandry are being studied. The formation of local bodies of society in Ukrainian provinces, their material support, the implementation of agricultural education and the policy of crediting agricultural enterprises are analyzed. The high level of scientific qualification of the heads of JSC and their active civic position are highlighted. It is claimed that in the mid-1920s elements of politicization appeared in the work of the society, when it was necessary to participate in ideological actions. The political direction of JSC activity was episodic and exceptional, since the company complied with the basic statutory requirements, but with the introduction of the policy of complete collectivization in the Ukrainian village, the reorganization of the company began, and the methodological principles of the founders of JSC aimed at strengthening the material and technical base of agriculture were considered "harmful" by the Soviet authorities. Conclusions. The creation of the All-Ukrainian Agronomic Society took place at the first All-Ukrainian Agronomic Congress in November 1921. The task of the society was to consolidate the agronomic forces of Ukraine for the restoration and development of agriculture, its productive forces, i.e. peasant farms. The All-Ukrainian Agronomic Society ensured to a certain extent the revival of Ukrainian agriculture during the difficult times of its decline. OJSC tried to involve a wide range of agricultural specialists in the development and implementation of agronomic policy. The activities of the founders of the society were constructive and recreational, not "capitalist-restorative". OJSC operated in conditions of relative economic liberalism inherent in the NEP, so the Soviet authorities treated it tolerantly at the time and even provided financial support. But the methodological principles of the founders of JSC became incompatible with the policy of complete collectivization that began in the Ukrainian village in 1929. The society, which focused on strengthening peasant farms, became the object of ideological, political and criminal persecution. In February-March 1930, the former "Vatov residents" were accused of undermining the economic power of the republic, trying to restore the capitalist system, and were repressed by the organs of the GPU of the USSR.
