Abstract
Образи читачів і мотиви читання в російських повістях Т. Г. Шевченка «Близнецы», «Прогулка с удовольствием и не без морали», «Художник» розглянуто як приклади фіксації типових практик читачівства XIX століття, а також як засоби моделювання міфопоетичної картини світу, в якій сфери сакрального й профанного маркуються ставленням людини до книги і зафіксованого в ній слова.
Images of readers and reading motivation in Russian novels Taras Shevchenko "Gemini", "Walk with pleasure and not without morality", "Artist" are considered as typical examples of fixing the practice of reading the XIX century, as well as modeling techniques mythopoetical picture of the world, that the scope of the sacred and profane marked the relationship of man to the book and the word.
