Причини появи поняття “відсутність” у творчості С. Д. Довлатова

Abstract

Статтю присвячено дослідженню лінгвістичних аспектів творчості російсько-американського прозаїка С. Д. Довлатова. Розглядається поняття “відсутність”, що належить до основних абстрактних понять концептуальної системи. У творчості С. Д. Довлатова воно виявляється на всіх мовних рівнях. Розкриваються передумови появи поняття “відсутність” у творчості письменника: аналізуються факти його біографії, які сприяли втіленню поняття “відсутність” у романі “Наші”, з’ясовується, як життєвий досвід С. Д. Довлатова вплинув на вибір мовних одиниць для вербалізації цього поняття.The article is focused on the study of linguistic aspects of the work of the outstanding Russian novelist S. D. Dovlatov, who emigrated from the USSR to the USA. The article analyzes the notion “absence”, one of the basic abstract notions of the conceptual system of the language. It is expressed at all the language levels in the works by S. D. Dovlatov. The aim of the article is to reveal the preconditions for the appearance of the notion “absence” in the text of the writer. It involves solving the following tasks: to analyze S. D. Dovlatov’s biography that could lead to the implementation of the notion “absence” in his novel “Ours” (“Наши”); to investigate how the life experience of S. D. Dovlatov influenced the choice of linguige units for the representation of the notion. The researcher considers excerpts from the prose texts by S. D. Dovlatov for confirming the hypothesis. After linguistic analysis of the texts the author concludes that the writer verbalized the notion “absence” at the linguistic level explicitly and implicitly. Humorous description is one of the features of S. D. Dovlatov's novels, thanks to which the reader easily perceives even the author’s philosophical thoughts or sad events. This shows the writer’s individual point of view. The author proves that the appearance of the notion“absence” in the work of Dovlatov was influenced by the external factors such as absence of freedom of speech. Irony in his novel expresses unusual writer’s view and helps readers to rethink the reality through the doubled opposition “absence”.Статья посвящена исследованию лингвистических аспектов творчества русско-американского прозаика С. Д. Довлатова. Рассматривается понятие “отсутствие”, которое относится к основным абстрактным понятиям концептуальной системы. В творчестве С. Д. Довлатова это понятие проявляется на всех языковых уровнях. Раскрываются предпосылки появления понятия “отсутствие” в творчестве писателя: дается анализ фактов из его биографии, которые способствовали воплощению понятия “отсутствие” в романе “Наши”, выясняется, как жизненный опыт С. Д. Довлатова повлиял на выбор языковых единиц для вербализации данного понятия.
