Abstract

Штучний інтелект – одна з універсальних галузей інформатики, яка має велике майбутнє. Спорт – чудова сфера для застосування підходів до проектування штучного інтелекту як інструменту для прогнозування та визначення можливостей спортсменів. Стаття присвячена аналізу напрямів сучасного та перспективного використання штучного інтелекту у спорті. Численні дослідження в літературі описують вплив штучного інтелекту на гравців, уболівальників, засоби масової інформації, тренування, скаутинг, рекрутинг та всю спортивну спільноту, пов'язану зі спортом. Враховуючи швидке впровадження штучного інтелекту у відомих видах спорту, таких як бейсбол, теніс, футбол, американський футбол та баскетбол, існує нагальна потреба оцінити весь спектр його застосувань та наслідків. Наше дослідження дозволило систематизувати сучасне застосування штучного інтелекту у спорті за наступними напрямами: аналіз результативності гравців, тактичний аналіз, прийняття рішень, профілактика травм та керування гравцями, нейромережеве моделювання, спортивне прогнозування, спортивна журналістика, спорт у віртуальній реальності, залучення вболівальників. За яким би напрямом не використовувався штучний інтелект, очевидно, що спорт виграє від технологічної інтеграції.Artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the universal branches of computer science that has a great future. Sports are an excellent field for applying approaches to the design of artificial intelligence, where artificial intelligence is used as a useful tool for predicting and determining the capabilities of athletes. The article is devoted to the analysis of the directions of current and promising use of artificial intelligence in sports. We used the following research methods: systematic content analysis of scientific and methodological literature and Internet data. Numerous studies in the literature describe the impact of artificial intelligence on players and potential future players, fans, media, training, scouting, recruiting and the entire sports community associated with sports. In recent years, the sports sector has particularly embraced the potential of artificial intelligence not only as a tool, but also as an innovative solution that can rethink how to play and manage sports. Given the rapid adoption of AI in popular sports such as baseball, tennis, soccer, football, and basketball, there is an urgent need to assess the full range of its applications and implications. Our study has allowed us to systematize the current application of AI in sports in the following areas: player’s performance analysis, tactical analysis, decision-making, injury prevention and player management, neural network modelling, sports forecasting, sports journalism, sports in virtual reality and fan engagement. AI-based analytics can revolutionize sports journalism, broadcasting, and strategy development by offering deeper understanding and real-time information processing. Best practices demonstrate the effectiveness of model characteristics of athlete’s technique in the process of their selection and training using artificial neural networks. Thus, AI is revolutionizing the world of sports for coaches and players and significantly affects the sports experience of spectators. Whatever direction artificial intelligence is used, sports will benefit from technological integration.
