Abstract
статті досліджено оздоровчий вплив занять баскетболом на фізичний та психоемоційний стан студентів України в умовах воєнного стресу. Метою дослідження було визначення ефективності баскетболу як засобу покращення фізичної підготовленості та психоемоційної стабілізації студентів. Педагогічний експеримент проведено протягом 15 тижнів за участю 40 студентів, розподілених на контрольну та експериментальну групи. Використано тестування витривалості, сили, швидкісно-силових якостей та психологічні методики оцінки тривожності, стресу і позитивних емоцій. Результати засвідчили значне покращення фізичних та психоемоційних показників у студентів експериментальної групи, що підтверджує доцільність застосування баскетболу як ефективного оздоровчого засобу.
The article investigates the health-promoting effects of basketball on the physical and psycho-emotional condition of Ukrainian university students under conditions of prolonged war-related stress. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of basketball as a means of improving physical fitness and enhancing stress resilience among students. A 15-week pedagogical experiment was conducted with 40 students divided into an experimental group (n = 20), who participated in a structured basketball training program, and a control group (n = 20), who engaged only in standard physical education activities without targeted sports interventions. Physical fitness was assessed through endurance (Cooper test, km/6 min), muscular strength (bench press), and speed-strength abilities (standing long jump). Psycho-emotional status was evaluated using standardized questionnaires measuring anxiety, subjective stress, and positive emotions. Data were analyzed using descriptive and comparative statistical methods. The results demonstrated statistically significant improvements in the experimental group: endurance increased by 32.9%, hand strength by 13.2%, and speed-strength qualities by 13.3% (p < 0.05). Simultaneously, students in the experimental group exhibited a marked reduction in anxiety (–19.5%) and subjective stress (–21.0%) alongside a substantial increase in positive emotions (+30.0%) compared to the control group, which showed only minor, non-significant changes. These findings highlight the health-enhancing potential of basketball as a team sport that not only develops physical qualities but also supports psychological well-being and social interaction. The study emphasizes the role of structured team sports in mitigating the negative effects of prolonged stress and enhancing adaptive capabilities in students. Future research may focus on long-term effects and compare the effectiveness of different team sports in promoting physical and psycho-emotional resilience under stressful conditions.
